The Katana Saya Pakkawood 18cm Santoku Knife is a fantastic all round kitchen knife. Santoku actually means ‘3 Ways’ in Japanese which refers to the all-round suitability of these knives to slice, dice and prepare food as required. It also offers a fluted blade to relieve sticking. This version is the larger Santoku with a 18cm blade.
The Western Pakkawood range comes gift boxed with a leather sheath that offers the perfect protection for your knife, protecting yourself and others from its supremely sharp edge. The blade has a 67 layers of VG-10 Damascus steel which offers exceptional toughness. This high quality stainless steel is hard and unbreakable and can reach a Rockwell hardness rating of up to 63HRC.
The beautiful craftsmanship in these knives can be seen in the elegant layered Damascus pattern on the blade. The blade is finished with deep black finished pakkawood handle with opal effect ring which strikes a balance between luxury and hard wearing-durability.
