A very special mixture with over 20 different types of large flower. There are some clear, pure colours, a sprinkling of colours with white stars, some picotee edged in white and others with darker veins and soft radiating centres. They make a spectacular display for bedding, or just planted in large containers. Flowers summer.

Sow from February to April at 21-27C (70-80F) on the surface of a good seed compost and gently firm down. Keep soil moist but not wet. Do not exclude light, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful. Germination usually takes 10-21 days.
When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart in a sunny spot on light well drained soil.
For pot plants, baskets and containers, transplant the seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots, grow cool, well ventilated and give plenty of light, but shade from direct sun.
